Major rule #1: Reduce Waste -
In your home
- Heating and air conditioning leaks out the walls, windows, ceilings
and floors. Insulation is the best way to conserve this energy.
Installing heat exchangers helps as well as using high efficiency
electronics.
In Your Life
- Follow the three R'sReduce: Reduce the number of products you buy,
the prepackaged meals you eat, the number of cars you drive, the size of
your house, etc
Re-use: Buy products in glass jars that can be re-used in the garage or
for planting, If you don't want it and it still has life in it give it
away or give it to a resale shop, find creative ways to reuse the
packaging we throw away everyday.
Recycle: If the life is gone from the stuff you have find ways to
recycle it. So many of our products or its packaging go straight to the
landfill to be buried and forgotten. We can't bury and forget our
other problems so why is this the solution to our vast waste stream.
Major rule #2: Choose Better Products -
So much of our lives were made easier after the industrial revolution,
but at the same time our lives are now harder. Yes, Organic is more
expensive, but the chemicals used to treat other products are one of the
root causes of new health problems. Yes, electricity is cheap, but it
is produced in a wasteful polluting manor that is slowly changing for
the worse. Yes, I could go on and on. Think about the world and the
life-cycle of the products we use.
Major rule #3: Be more self reliant -
We as a people are to reliant on others. If a major storm comes through
and you lose electricity or water for several days, do you know what to
do?? Do you have a plan?? Are you able to survive for days, weeks,
months, without outside help?? Once you start living without the need
of others you realize how precious these everyday amenities are and how
you can use them more efficiently and/or produce them on your own.

Stirling Cycle Heat Pump - Heating and Cooling from the Heat of the sun
(or other waste heat stream)
Cheap Solar Water Heater - Re-use of old water hose to capture heat of
the sun.
Future Projects:
Build You Own: Wind Turbine (HAWT & VAWT), Solar Still, SIP's,
Radiant Floor Heat, PV Panel, Generator, Electric Bike, Electric Car,
Water Treatment System.....Etc.
